So you want to keep up to date technology news?  That’s great, here’s my number one tip:

Don’t read TechCrunch.

Watch your feet folks, because I’ve just thrown down a spike strip.

To me, Tech Crunch is the National Enquirer of the technology world.  When I want ‘technology news’, I want to learn about, you know…things that might have something to do with something remotely technical.  If your goal is to start a company that maintains an up to date database of every startup that raised a Series A round of funding, well then, by all means, Tech Crunch your morning away.

But, if you are like me and seek something with depth, and technical relevance,  then try starting your day with:

1.) Tech Meme

2.) PandoDaily

3.) Reddit Programming -

Take these 3 sites, add 2 cups of tea, a bowl of Weetabix, and you’ve got your typical Bobby Gill morning. Stay informed folks, avoid hype.
